Verifiable Former Bethelite Willing to Answer questions
by Uzzah ini am a former active poster here, former elder, former bethelite and pretty much known by people on the xjw boards since the mid 90's.
gawd that makes me sound old.. i notice that a great deal of uproar is being made by allegations of a hide in the closet alleged bethelite.
to counter the damage caused by this claim, i am happy to address any questions people may have about bethel, protocol, etc.. i was at the canada branch for 11 years, worked in multiple areas including the legal department, service desk and writing dept.

It would also be very easy to check who was scraping IPs like that, just check the source code and see if any posts have 1x1 images embedded.
For this reason I doubt they do it.

by Terry inwhile the whole world of christianity waits and longs for the 2nd advent of jesus because it will bring their reward.... jehovah's witness already had theirs!
they simply declared that "jesus is back!".
1914 was the date assigned.. true, jesus was invisible.. true, armageddon didn't come.. true, the world went on spinning as before.. but, 1914 was date certain and remains so.. instead, jehovah's witnesses starting treating armageddon the same way mainstream christianity treats the 2nd coming.. it's coming any minute!.

when the great day of reckoning comes, whether it be from ufo alien invaders, realian reptilian over lords, demons in human-hybrid form, or just plain old virus-infected zombies, what will you be carrying to defend yourself from the hostile forces of e-vile?

I'm only worrying about zombies as I'm sure that is how it will end, rather than UFOs/reptiles etc.
Guns are hard to get in the UK so I would take what I can find, but ideally I would like:

- Baseball bat (less blood)
- Pump action shotgun, probably sawn-off double barrelled

he simply said that the society no longer says when the heavenly calling was closed.
have they discarded the 1935 teaching?

When you do that and then divide by the square root of C, where C is the constant represending the speed of light, you get 55378008 which on a calculator upside down spells 'boobless'

Do you miss "dressing up" for the meetings?
by dozy ini was thinking about this the other day when doing a bit of tidying up of my wardrobe.
all the kh suits are now pushed to the back of the wardrobe and i am seriously thinking about a visit to the charity shop to get rid of most of them.. for me one of the (few) enjoyable aspects of being a jw was getting dressed up.
my secular work very rarely involves putting on a dress suit & tie so i miss getting dressed up - smart suit , tie , shiny shoes , slapping on the aftershave.
